Back In The Saddle

Wow.  It's been a long time hasn't it?  Well, I have a very, very, very good reason for not updating this site for a while...

I actually moved.  Not your 'across the town move', not even 'a state or two over' move.  No, I'm talking about a cross-country, complete change-of-pace and lifestyle move.

Why did I do this, you ask?

There are many, many reasons, but mostly for the opportunity.  There just are not any real opportunities back home, and this move may be the best thing for me.  Now, I JUST moved, I've been here for about a week, and it's going to take a while for me to get used to stuff.  So, I'm afraid there won't be many updates for a while.

This does NOT mean, however, that the site will stop.  You all aren't that lucky.  It just means to have some patience, give me a little time to get used to my new home, and THEN things will pick up around here.  Besides, it's not like I've gotten any complaints to update the site...*crickets*

I'm sure I'll have plenty of stories, new projects, and all the like once I get used to just 'living' again.

Until then, stay tuned...

Top Ten Reasons why the Site hasn't been updated

E-mail Print PDF
  1. I was too busy playing Star Ocean
  2. I was cleaning out my closet and got distracted with all of the old stuff in there
  3. I was too distracted watching the Cavaliers crush the competition
  4. I was busy learning XNA so I can actually get this project started
  5. Work, work, work...(As in my day job)
  6. I had some really, really bad luck one week...
  7. Ok I'm done...wait, there's three more reasons?  Darn.
  8. My best friend brought over Fallout 3 one day...I haven't been the same since.
  9. I recently had a birthday.  Happy Birthday to me!
  10. I had to chase my evil twin all around the city - he was embarrassing me by making me look bad.  He told everyone that RPGs are lame and Reality TV is the best thing since sliced bread!

*Note:  The webmaster does not, in any way shape or form necessarily support the Cavaliers, is addicted to Star Ocean, had a former addiction to Fallout 3, loves RPGs or hates Reality TV.  Any assumptions about the webmaster based on this post will result in a beating by ninjas.

A Little Restructuring going on...

Well, I'm finally getting the hang of this content manager...and I must say it's pretty nifty.  If you haven't already noticed, there is now a Login section on the left here, and I've streamlined the Article sections to make it easier to navigate.  The basic designs of the site are now finished, which means only one thing - now I can fully devote myself to actual, meaningful content!!

In case you haven't noticed yet, there is now a copyright disclaimer (Yes, we're official now) at the bottom of the page.  I suggest you read it, if for any other reason it has the hosting information for the site...and even though the guy that runs it is a total dork (No seriously, he is), he's also a good friend of mine.  So, if you have any need for a site of your own, check out his site here.  The rates are very reasonable and downtime is as close to non-existent as it can possibly get.

To the guy that runs hosting that I just happen to know: You're welcome.

The next thing to address is the Projects section (Or lack thereof), hopefully within the next couple of weeks, I'll at least have some basic information about my first project.  There is a lot of planning that needs to be done and since my time is extremely limited due mostly to my day job, I can't make any promises or specify any dates.  I will be working on this whenever I can find the time.  Since the main priority now is to get my first project up and started, content may be a little scarce until then.  I'll probably do a couple more reviews in the meantime just to break the monotony of working on getting this project off the ground.

Also, the first poll is coming soon...when it does, be sure to participate!

What's this? Something about a project?

That's right - I've finally posted details about the first project...which doesn't even have a name yet.  I've been busy with work and learning the language that I'll be using for this game...which is why posts have been scarce lately (I warned you didn't I?).

Anyway, enjoy.  More details to come soon.

First Review is now up!

Yes, after a few days of no content (And due to my getting a slight cold), I have posted the first review of the site...Sins of a Solar Empire for the PC.  The review is in the 'Reviews' section under 'Now Playing', as in, I am now playing the game.  No, seriously.
