Happy 30th Birthday, Pacman!!!

E-mail Print PDF

As many of you already know, today is a special day for the gaming world. Today is the 30th Birthday of one of the most classic video game characters to grace pixelated screens everywhere...Pac Man!

I still remember the days of when I was a kid begging my mom for quarters so I could play Pac Man in the arcade. Fun times.

For a little more fun, head on over to Google for a fun surprise.

Look who's back...

Yep, I'm back in action! I know, I know, it's been longer than I expected, but I'm finally back...and I've got new content coming your way!  Granted, it's not much, but bear with me OK?

I'm actually working out how I'm going to categorize this site. Something tells me its going to be part blog, part gaming, part development projects.  Whether or not that will work...well, you tell me.  I've also been thinking about possible daily/weekly content...with very little progress. That should change once I get my first project up and running.

Speaking of projects, I'm actually starting to use Unity. It's a pretty powerful multi-platform game development tool that you can do some pretty cool stuff with. Once I actually get the gist of it I'll put up some 'mini projects'.

In a few moments I've got a new review that I've been sitting on since November, and a new 'King's Thoughts' post as well. See? I TOLD you I had something for you.

Starcraft II Beta

E-mail Print PDF

Hey guys, there's been a lot of things happening lately - good and bad.  I've been working on some new stuff for the site. In the meantime, one of my good friends got accepted into the Starcraft II Beta.  I'll be linking to his blog with his experiences on the site as they come along. Part 1 is below, and focuses on the Installation and initial setup:

Starcraft II Beta Part 1 - Installation and Setup

Hopefully this will allow me enough time to get some stuff rolling while I take care of some things with the day job.

Back In The Saddle

Wow.  It's been a long time hasn't it?  Well, I have a very, very, very good reason for not updating this site for a while...

I actually moved.  Not your 'across the town move', not even 'a state or two over' move.  No, I'm talking about a cross-country, complete change-of-pace and lifestyle move.

Why did I do this, you ask?

There are many, many reasons, but mostly for the opportunity.  There just are not any real opportunities back home, and this move may be the best thing for me.  Now, I JUST moved, I've been here for about a week, and it's going to take a while for me to get used to stuff.  So, I'm afraid there won't be many updates for a while.

This does NOT mean, however, that the site will stop.  You all aren't that lucky.  It just means to have some patience, give me a little time to get used to my new home, and THEN things will pick up around here.  Besides, it's not like I've gotten any complaints to update the site...*crickets*

I'm sure I'll have plenty of stories, new projects, and all the like once I get used to just 'living' again.

Until then, stay tuned...
